Hi! Simon here! I love music and I Iove talking so being a DJ and radio presenting is a good fit for me! I did my first radio show on Hospital Radio in Bishops Stortford when I was still in school and my first gig was playing songs on a dual cassette player at my Mum’s birthday party (a few years ago too)! Outside of radio and DJing, my favourite things are beer, good food and adventuring out and about in the UK. Here are 3 quick facts about me: · Favourite Band: Oasis (Noel and Liam, please get back together! 😉) · Bucket List Accomplishment: Visiting the ancient Roman city of Pompeii on honeymoon · Favourite Sport (to do): Bodyboarding (I don’t have the balance to surf properly) and Stand-Up Paddle-boarding
Dave came into radio late when he joined Town Fm in the late 90s. With his wealth of knowledge being a mobile DJ for over 40 years Dave progressed from a single show on Sundays to presenting Breakfast and Drive. His experience has taken him to work on other stations Paradise Fm , Delite Radio and now Radio Xtra.
have been involved in the wonderful world of radio for a very long time, more years than I care to remember. I started off many years ago in hospital radio, and steadily progressed into other forms of radio. I have presented on a various amount of radio stations, including Town FM, Paradise FM, Kool AM. As well as a few BBC local radio stations as well as a host of community-based radio stations including my local one Radio Woking. But now I have landed at Radio Xtra and are thoroughly looking forward to entertaining you on the home of the hits.
I became a DJ way back in the late 80’s. Once you begin DJing it gets into your blood and it has certainly taken me on a brilliant journey over the years. I have spent many a night in clubs around the world including Ibiza, Corfu, Brighton and London. I have also played on Radio stations Town FM, Radio Onda Sera in Spain and now Radio Xtra. It is a pleasure to be able to do something you enjoy and in doing so bring others pleasure too.
Hi, I’m Steve. I always knew I wanted to be a Radio Presenter from, when at age 4, I used to sit in front of my parent’s record player with my headphones on, talking to it at the end of every song. I went on to annoy all my friends at school by doing the “DJ Steve” Radio show on cassette tape (Remember them?) and sharing it with them. To my horror a few years ago, one of those school friends found all the tapes in his loft, and converted them to MP3… Let’s just say I have improved a little since then, or at least my voice has got a bit lower anyway. 🙂
Paul has been lucky enough to pop up on radio stations across the country for over 23 years. Stations such as 0X105 Oxford, Kennet Radio, Blunt Radio, first FM, True Radio UK, Reading 107, Energy!, Flash Fm Oxford, Destiny 105, and Wallingford Radio, yes, hes been around a bit. His voice has also been used for IVR phone systems (he’s that annoying “you’re on hold” guy) He appeared in Midsomer Murders and has also been in the film The Darkness hour in 2019 as a film extra. Paul is a massive Ice hockey fan and follows the Toronto Maple leafs not to mention his favourite food is pizza, he’s been known to eat two in a night. We have been told not to tell you that Paul has globophobia …don’t ask. He is on dance and disco on Radio Xtra and on our Sister station Xtra Dance Wednesday and Thursdays 10 – 12am.
This is my first job “on the business end” of a Radio show and I’m loving it! I think radio is thought provoking and music really is good for the soul. I also work as a Voice Over artist and as a Festival/Event MC/emcee, compère/Host, and enjoy that greatly. Join me on my new Weekend Breakfast Show every Saturday and Sunday from 7 til10 am.
